Adv. Ovais Khan Appeals to District Administration for Urgent Snow Removal in Shopian Town sides
Shopian, Jan 19:– Social and political activist Adv. Ovais Khan has called upon the District Administration Shopian and the Municipal Committee Shopian to urgently address the issue of accumulated snow on the roadsides in Shopian town. The prevailing situation, he stated, is causing immense inconvenience to the residents, particularly commuters, pedestrians, and local shopkeepers.
Adv. Khan emphasized the difficulties faced by shopkeepers, traders, and vendors whose businesses are severely affected as customers struggle to access their establishments. He further pointed out the hardships faced by pedestrians and vehicle users due to blocked pathways, which have made daily activities challenging and unsafe.
“The heavy accumulation of snow on the roadsides is not just an inconvenience; it is a disruption to daily life and economic activity in Shopian town. I appeal to the District Administration and the Municipal Committee to act promptly and ensure the roadsides are cleared to restore normalcy,” said Adv. Khan.
He urged the authorities to deploy adequate resources and manpower to expedite snow-clearing operations, ensuring smooth movement for all residents and the resumption of local businesses. Adv. Khan also highlighted the importance of preemptive planning to prevent such disruptions in the future.
He expressed hope that the administration would take swift action to address the issue and alleviate the problems faced by the people of Shopian town.
