After 14 years of construction Qamarwari-Noorbagh bridge likely to be inaugurated in March: R&B Chief Engineer

Srinagar, February 04 (STC): Bridge connecting Qamarwari-Noorbagh area, under construction for the past 14 years, is being thrown open for public traffic in March this year, said the Chief Engineer, Roads and Buildings (R&B) Central Kashmir, Sajad Naqeeb, on Tuesday.
Approximately 95 percent of the work on the bridge stands completed. Now, as per the Chief Engineer, only 20 to 25 days of work remains pending. Earlier, the opening of the bridge was scheduled in January, but “due to unfavourable weather, it was delayed.
According to the reports, funding constraints and contractor issues marred the timely completion of the bridge.(STC)
