JERASULEM, FEBRUARY 27 (STC): Amid the heightened risks in Middle East, particularly linked to the prospect of U.S.-Iran confrontation, the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem has issued a security advisory, authorizing the departure of non-emergency U.S. government personnel and their families, reveals media reports.
The reports state that American citizens have been advised to leave Israel while commercial flights remain available, amid rising regional tensions and fears of escalation.
The embassy cited potential threats across Israel, including Jerusalem and parts of the West Bank.
Embassy staff were told to consider leaving immediately, while travelers are urged to monitor flight availability and remain updated via official channels.
However, no mandatory evacuation has been ordered for the general public, but Americans are strongly advised to plan departure to avoid travel disruptions.
