Bad weather prevents Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from visiting Chesoti Kishtwar

JAMMU, AUGUST 24 (STC): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was unable to visit the site of the Kishtwar cloudburst due to bad weather and a landslide blocking the road.
He said, “I wanted to go to the spot, but due to bad weather and a landslide the vehicle could not move forward.”
He informed that all those injured in the incident are recovering well at the medical college. “I congratulate the doctors for their dedicated service in treating the injured. All are in good condition,” he said.
The Defence Minister added that he, along with Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Union Minister Jitendra Singh, will speak to the affected people through video conference from Raj Bhavan.
It’s pertinent to mention that the Defence Minister earlier visited the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu today to meet the injured of the Chashoti incident and reviewed the medical care being provided to them.
