CASO in Barbarshah, over 100 structures checked

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 13 (STC): Srinagar Police, assisted by 132 CRPF and the Mahila Company of 88 CRPF, on Thursday carried out extensive searches of residential houses, commercial establishments, and surprise checking of vehicles and commuters in the busy Barbarshah area of the city today, said officials.
Nearly 100 houses and shops were searched during the exercise, which continued for several hours.
The operation was a part of ongoing preventive measures aimed at strengthening the security grid in the heart of the summer capital, said an official. He added that such drives are conducted to ensure a safe environment for locals as well as tourists visiting the city.
Police said these coordinated efforts reflect the commitment of the force to maintaining peace, public order, and a sense of security across.
