CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Massive avalanche hits Sonamarg; engulfs buildings, vehicles

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 28 (STC): A massive avalanche struck the Sarbal area of Sonamarg in Jammu & Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday night. A CCTV footage from the area shows a powerful wall of snow rushing down the mountainside at around 10.12 pm. It engulfed several buildings, including a tourist resort and vehicles in its path.
Officials confirmed that no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
Emergency teams and local authorities have rushed to the spot.
