SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 26 (STC): Responding to mounting pressure on the Omar-led government in Jammu and Kashmir from within the National Conference (NC) senior leadership for failing to deliver on the promises made in the manifesto, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in an interview with NDTV, has said that he has set himself a finite timeline , wherein if statehood is not given, he will step down from his post.
However, he has not disclosed the fixed timeline set for himself to achieve the goal of restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Notably, the National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and CM Omar Abdullah have dished out ‘anti-people’ statements which are contrary to what they had promised in their manifesto. The general public has criticised the father-son duo for these statements, which have been making rounds on social media in viral mode.
Meanwhile, the statement of Chief Minister in the interview with NDTV is being termed big and is worth to wait and watch.
