CM Omar Abdullah expresses gratitude to HM Amit Shah for timely visit to J&K

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 01 (STC): Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir highlights the Centre’s commitment and will contribute to better coordination in relief and rehabilitation measures, said Chief Minister Onar Abdullah on Monday while expressing gratitude to him for the visit.
Taking to X platform, the CM, posted: “Attended the review meeting chaired by Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji on the flood situation in J&K. Thankful for his visit, which underscores the seriousness of the crisis and will help better coordination.”
He further noted that the government’s immediate focus remains on providing timely assistance to affected families and ensuring effective rehabilitation. “Our priority remains timely relief, rehabilitation and rebuilding lives with resilience,” Omar added.
The Chief Minister said the combined efforts of the Union and the Union Territory administrations will be crucial in addressing the damage caused by the floods and in supporting communities in their recovery.
