CM Omar Abdullah & LG Manoj Sinha condemn terrorist attack killing ex-serviceman in Kulgam

Srinagar, February 03 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have condemned terrorist attack on a retired army man and his family in Kulgam district of South Kashmir.
The ex-serviceman identified as Manzoor Ahmad Wagay lost his life while his wife and daughter were injured in the terror attack.
While paying tribute to Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, martyred in the attack, the LG Sinha said, “I strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack on Manzoor Ahmad Wagay and his family in Kulgam. The entire nation stands in solidarity with the grieving family during this difficult time. I have directed officials to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured and am praying for their swift recovery. I assure the public that those responsible for this cowardly act will be brought to justice soon.”
CM Omar Abdullah took to his social media handle to express his deep sorrow on the terror incident. “I am deeply saddened by the tragic killing of ex-serviceman Manzoor Ahmad Wagay Sahab in Kulgam. My heartfelt condolences to his family, and prayers for the swift recovery of his injured wife and daughter.”
He strongly condemned the “heinous act”, stating, “Such violence has no place in our society and must be condemned in the strongest terms. May peace and justice prevail.”
The ex-army man, his wife and daughter were injured after they were attacked by terrorists in BehiBagh area of Kulgam today afternoon.
Officials said that all three were taken to hospital in injured condition where ex-army man succumbed to injuries. His wife and daughter are said to be stable.(STC)
