Court allows MP Engineer Rashid to visit Parliament to vote in VP election

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 06 (STC)
: Patiala House Court has allowed MP North Kashmir Engineer Rashid to visit Parliament in custody on September 9 to cast his vote in the vice-presidential election, says a report.
As per the reports, the court directed that Rashid would not have to pay any travel cost immediately but must submit an undertaking to cover the expenses, depending on the outcome of appeals pending before the High Court.
The order was passed by the court while hearing the matter. Advocate Vikhyat Oberoi appeared on behalf of Engineer Rashid.
The court allowed Rashid to participate in the election while ensuring that the matter of travel costs will be settled based on the final judgment by the High Court.
