Cyber Police Kashmir warns against misinformation campaigns on social media

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 07 (STC): The Cyber Police Kashmir has taken note of false claims posted on social media handles about the presence of anti-national posters in Kashmir. These unverified and baseless claims are being widely circulated, leading to misinformation and unnecessary panic.
The Cyber Police in a statement has warned that the situation is actively being monitored to nab the mischief mongers engaged in the spread of such false narratives. Authorities have assured that necessary legal action is being taken against those responsible for amplifying these misleading claims without verification.
The people have been urged to verify information before sharing it online. At the same time the Cyber Police has encouraged people to report such misleading posts to ensure responsible digital behavior and prevent the spread of false narratives.(STC)
