Delhi court grants extension in judicial custody of seven accused in Delhi blast case

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 25 (STC): Judicial custody of seven accused in the Delhi car blast case has been extended by another 15 days, reports quoting officials said.
The accused were produced before Additional Sessions Judge Prashant Sharma at Patiala House Court after the expiry of their earlier remand period amid tight security arrangements.
According to the reports, the court extended the custody of Dr Adeel Rather, Dr Muzammil Ganaie, Dr Shaheen Saeed, Maulvi Irfan Ahmed Wagay, Jasir Bilal Wani, Amir Rashid Ali and Soyab till January 8.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), probing the case, informed the court about the progress of the investigation. The agency has so far arrested multiple accused for allegedly providing logistical, technical and financial support to the terror module.
Notably, media persons were not allowed inside the court during the proceedings.
