Dir School Education Kashmir visits Sainik School Mansbal

SRINAGAR, February 23 (STC): Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo, today visited the Sainik School Manasbal and inspected the Entrance Test center established in the school for admissions in class 6th, 9th, and 11th.
The Director reviewed all the facilities and interacted with the students and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements. He emphasized that discipline and transparency are essential for any test or examination, and every concerned officer or staff member must play a vital role for the fair conduct of examination.
Dr.G.N. Itoo mentioned that two centers, one at Sainik School Manasbal and one in Kargil, had been established for the test, in which 850 students participated. He further added that students from all districts of UT Ladakh and Kashmir province participated in this test.
On the sidelines of Examination center in Manasbal, when asked about the reopening of schools after winter, the Director School Education Kashmir stated that schools will reopen on March 1st, after the winter break, and the department has made all necessary arrangements for the same. On the same day i.e, 1st March 2025, all the teaching staff will report back for the duties and make the celebration joyful with students.
He said that, March 1st will be celebrated as “Welcome Day” for students.
He also mentioned that from March 1st to March 15th, a special “Enrollment Drive” will be conducted across the Kashmir province, with the participation of school heads, teachers, and students. He stated that the Directorate has set up a monitoring system to ensure the successful conduct of this campaign, ensuring that no child is left out of school.
Dr. G.N. Itoo appealed the parents to enroll all their children who are not attending school, so that every child in the Kashmir division avails the benefits of free education facilitated by the government.” (STC)
