SRINAGAR, MARCH 26 (STC)
: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has rescheduled the Parent–Teacher Meetings (PTMs) in all Government and recognized schools across the Kashmir Division, to March 27 (tomorrow).

The PTM was scheduled to be held on March 26 (today). However, owing to holiday, the PTM was postponed to 27th March.
All Chief Education Officers have been directed to ensure that the PTMs are organized in a well-structured and effective manner, with active participation of parents, teachers and students. The meetings should serve as a meaningful platform for discussing students’ academic progress, attendance, learning outcomes and overall development.
As per the DSEK statement, Director School Education Kashmir, Naseer Ahmad Wani, shall undertake surprise visits to selected schools and may also interact with institutions through the official digital mechanism, including video conferencing platforms, to monitor and assess the effective conduct of Parent–Teacher Meetings (PTMs) across the Kashmir Division.
The DSEK has appealed to all parents to actively participate in this mega PTM and share valuable suggestions, strengthening the partnership between home and school for achieving academic excellence.
All Principals, Heads of Institutions (HOIs), and teachers have also been instructed to make this first PTM of the academic session grand, purposeful and result-oriented. Schools are further advised to actively seek suggestions and feedback from parents to strengthen the teaching-learning process.
Remarkably, this initiative aligns with the Directorate’s vision of declaring “Year 2026 as the Year of Academic Excellence” and all stakeholders are urged to contribute towards achieving this goal in a collaborative and committed manner.
