Filmi Beats: Movies based on Nationalism hit the Bulls Eye in 2025

The Year 2025 saw Bollywood experiencing a mix of triumphs and setbacks, culminating in Dhurender’s success with All Time Block Buster tag in the final days of December, with the industry registering substantial profits and solidifying its position as the second most powerful motion picture industry.
Year saw bumper success in all genres, be it romance (Saiyaara), Comedy (housefull5) or socially relevant subject (Sitaare Zameen par). In the same breathe when cinema goers were expecting big hits from salman Khan , Tiger Shroff or Hrithic Roshan in the form of Sikandar and war 2, they all turned out to be disasters and public turned their backs to them.
Clearly, the bygone year demonstrated that the big budget films are no guarantee to success, whereas content with substance and outstanding performances can hit the heart and mind of the cinema goers. From performance point of view Akshay Khanna stole the show in 2005 in Roles he performed in CHAAVYA as Aurangzeb and as Rehman Dacait in Dhurendher.
Year 2025 saw Bollywood focusing on Nationalism, but Aamir Khan’s “Sitaare Zameen Par” successfully challenged this trend with its impactful and engaging narrative, connecting with audiences and ending his prolonged period of absence from success .Concurrently, Mohit Suri delivered a major hit “Saiyaara”, a romantic flick with young faces. The Title Track of the movie by Kashmiri Singer Faheem Abdullah became a Rage across the young generation of the Globe,
Considering the overall outlook if movies released during 2025, it can easily be gauged what the defining trend will be in 2026.The release of Dharmendra’s last movie “IKKIS” Border 2, Lahore 1947, Dhurendra 2 underscores that Nationalism is poised to be the Central theme of 2026 again. Regardless of the theme, the public will undoubtedly appreciate quality cinema. Hopefully cinema will prove to be a meaningful and insightful form of entertainment for everyone.
