Former J&K Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta appointed new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh

STINAGAR, JULY 14 (STC)
: The President of India has accepted the resignation of Brigadier (Retd.) Dr. B.D. Mishra from the post of Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
In a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday, it was announced that senior BJP leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.
The President has also made two other gubernatorial appointments. Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as the new Governor of Haryana, while Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju has been appointed as the Governor of Goa.
The appointments will take effect from the date the new appointees assume charge of their respective offices.(STC)
