GDC Hyderpora Organizes Successful Blood Donation Camp

Srinagar, Sept 17: The Government Degree College (GDC) Hyderpora organized a blood donation camp on Wednesday, aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation as a noble act of saving lives and raising awareness about its importance.

The camp was held on the college premises and facilitated through the joint efforts of the Red Ribbon Club, National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, and Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad. The institution ensured meticulous arrangements for a smooth, safe, and efficient donation process, reflecting its strong commitment to community service and social responsibility.

The event began with an inaugural address by Principal Dr. Sharief Ud Din Khan, who inspired students and faculty with a message on the significance of blood donation. He emphasized the role of youth in humanitarian causes and encouraged them to actively participate in such life-saving initiatives.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all semesters, as well as faculty members, who came forward in large numbers to donate blood. Medical professionals and volunteers supervised the donation process with utmost care, ensuring proper health screenings, hygiene protocols, and post-donation support. Donors were provided with refreshments including juice, bananas, and eggs to help them regain energy.

Speaking on the occasion, organizers highlighted that besides collecting blood, the camp also served as an educational platform to spread awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and its life-saving impact.
