Government closes 40 schools in flood-affected areas until situation improves

: Jammu and Kashmir government has closed 40 schools in flood-affected areas and will reopen only when the situation improves. Education Minister Sakina Itoo said that the step has been taken not to risk children’s health and education.
Speaking to reporters, the minister said that schools were closed because of the floods, which affected their cleanliness and displaced people who have been shifted to these schools. “It’s been a while since the area has been opened. Forty schools have been shut down because of the floods, the cleanliness of the schools, and the people who are still affected by the floods, who have been shifted to these schools,” According to KNS
she said.
The minister added that the schools will remain closed until the situation gets better. “Until then, we will try to open these schools as soon as possible. We will also be satisfied that there will be no impact on the children’s health and no impact on the education of the children,” she said.
