Govt expanding free SRTC and govt bus services to benefit women, announces CM Omar Abdullah

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 18 (STC):The free service in SRTC and government-operated buses for women in Jammu and Kashmir is going to be expanded to accommodate more women, said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah
He was addressing a press conference in Srinagar. He said, “We are committed to making public transport more accessible and safe for women. Expanding the reach of free SRTC and government buses is a step towards empowering the women folk of our society.”
He further added, “This initiative will not only provide convenient travel options but also promote inclusivity in our transport network, enabling women to commute comfortably across the Union Territory.”
