Gulmarg to host second leg of Khelo India Winter Games 2025 from March 9 to 12

SRINAGAR, MARCH 03 (STC):
Second leg of the Khelo India Winter Games (KIWG) 2025 are starting from March 9 to 12 at Gulmarg, the world famous ski resort.
Remarkably, KIWG 2025, an initiative under the Khelo India program, aims to promote winter sports in India, offering athletes a competitive platform in one of the country’s premier snow destinations. The event is being organized in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI), the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and the Ladakh Department of Youth Services and Sports.
The Jammu & Kashmir administration and the J&K Sports Council have assured full preparedness to deliver a world-class winter sports experience.
The event is featuring competitions in various winter sports, including skiing, snowboarding, and ice hockey.
Officials have assured that all arrangements, including infrastructure, safety measures, and athlete accommodations, are in place.
The Khelo India Winter Games have been source of nurturing young talent, providing Indian athletes with exposure to international-level winter sports facilities. (STC)
