SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 23 (STC): Emphasizing that no one is perfect, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said that history will judge the deeds and decisions of every leader.
“History will judge what we have done in this world. We are not farishta (angels). Everyone commits mistakes. Today, we pay obituary to them, and tomorrow it will be our turn. We too will be remembered in this House once we depart,” Omar said while paying tributes to late political leaders on the first day of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly session.
Notably, during the session, obituary references were made for at least seven political leaders who passed away this year.
The Chief Minister said all leaders, irrespective of party affiliations, have made significant contributions. “If anyone made a mistake, his deeds will still be recorded in history,” he added.
Omar also urged Deputy Commissioners (DCs) not to take directives from the government lightly.
