POONCH, MAY 30 (STC): Union Home Minister Amit Shah today announced the distribution of appointment letters for government jobs to the next of kin of those who lost their lives.
Shah was addressing families affected by recent terror attacks in Poonch. He assured that the entire country, including the Central and Jammu and Kashmir governments, stands united with the victims’ families. He further stated that their loss will not go unanswered.
The Home Minister strongly reaffirmed India’s commitment to fighting terror, saying, “What the terrorists have done, what Pakistan’s army has done, India’s defense policy will respond even more strongly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it very clear: terror and talks cannot go together, terror and trade cannot go together, blood and water cannot flow together.”
Shah emphasized that India’s national security policy, under Modi’s leadership, ensures a decisive response to every act of terrorism.
He further stressed that Pakistan has turned itself into a shelter for terrorists. “We have shown the world that Pakistan protects terrorists. After the Pahalgam attack, we destroyed terrorist camps in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir and inside Pakistan. Our strikes were precise—terrorists were targeted, no Pakistani civilians or army personnel were harmed. The Indian Army, with extraordinary courage, eliminated hundreds of terrorists, making it clear that India will not tolerate any aggression.”
The Home Minister praised the bravery of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting their spirit of patriotism. He assured that the development of Jammu and Kashmir, which has been steadily progressing since 2014, will continue without hindrance. The government, he said, will also bring a special package for the affected families and rebuild damaged infrastructure in Poonch. Shah lauded the swift action of the Jammu and Kashmir administration, which helped limit the loss of life during the recent crisis.
