IGP assures smooth & safe upcoming Kheer Bhawani Mela, scheduled for June 3

SRINAGAR, MAY 31 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with paramilitary forces and traffic teams, have worked together to ensure a smooth and safe upcoming Kheer Bhawani Mela, scheduled for June 3.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vidhi Kumar Birdi said this on Saturday. He added that necessary arrangements have been made for the Mela as devotees from across the Valley are expected to attend the event.
Responding to concerns following the recent Pahalgam attack, Birdi said that security for major events, including the Amarnath Yatra, is always reviewed and strengthened.
“Strict security arrangements were in place last year, and the same level of security will be maintained this year as well,” he added. (STC)
