SRINAGAR, APRIL 16 (STC): The much-hyped inauguration of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 19 has been postponed due to some unforeseen reasons.
The Railway Department has confirmed this. The ambitious USBRL project, which aims to provide all-weather rail connectivity between Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of the country, was expected to witness its official launch by the Prime Minister later this week. However, due to unforeseen reasons, the visit has been deferred.
A senior railway official said fresh dates for the Prime Minister’s visit will be announced in due course.
