SRINAGAR, JULY 09 (STC): India’s largest development and innovation exhibition, Bharat Sanrachana – Jammu and Kashmir 2025, will open in Srinagar from July 10 to 12 at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC).
The mega event is organised by Tarmeh Events and will bring together over 60 central ministries, scientific institutions, and public sector organisations. Entry to the exhibition is free, and it is specially tailored for students, youth, women entrepreneurs, and local representatives of the region.
This exhibition would be a live testament to India’s progress—from defence to digital, agriculture to infrastructure—and show how government schemes are transforming lives even in remote areas, said Member of Parliament Gulam Ali Khatana to media at SKICC. Khatana said. “It is also an opportunity to build awareness, foster learning, and encourage people’s participation in the nation-building journey.”
Notably, the exhibition aims to connect citizens with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, creating a bridge between people and India’s key development institutions. It will remain open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Major participants include DRDO, ISRO, CSIR, ICMR, ICAR, NHPC, THDC, APEDA, Ministry of Textiles, Geological Survey of India, and the Department of Science and Technology, among others.
Visitors will explore thematic zones covering defence, agriculture, energy, digital transformation, women empowerment, and skill development. A dedicated youth zone will feature innovation showcases, career guidance, and live demos. Kashmiri culture, handicrafts, and tourism will also be on display.
The event is expected to serve as a platform for grassroots engagement, giving local innovators, students, and panchayat members a chance to discover opportunities and connect directly with India’s leading development bodies.(STC)
