Jammu-Srinagar National Highway closed for traffic

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 27 (STC): The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been closed for vehicular traffic from both sides due to mud slush at Mehad Ramban.
According to authorities efforts are underway to clear the debris, but the road remains impassable. They have requested to avoid unnecessary travel and journey during night journey on NH 44.
An official told media that men and machinery are currently engaged to restore traffic, but continuous rainfall and shooting stones at multiple locations between Nasri and Navyug Tunnel are hampering the process.
Meanwhile, people have been advised to avoid unnecessary movement, especially at night, as the situation is being closely monitored. (STC)
