J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat condoles demise of former DGP B.S. Bedi

JAMMU, JANUARY 27 (STC): Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, along with officers of all ranks, observed a two-minute silence today in memory of former Director General of Police, B.S. Bedi, who passed away on January 25.
Late B.S. Bedi, a 1961-batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, served in Jammu and Kashmir during the most turbulent period of early 1990s. Bedi was widely known for his distinguished service during a challenging phase in the region’s history.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Police conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. “He will be remembered for his contributions to strengthening the police force during a critical period, the J&K police said in its condolence message. (STC)
