J&K government announces ex-gratia relief for Kathua cloudburst victims

JAMMU, AUGUST 17 (STC)
: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressing deep concern over the loss of lives and damage to property caused by the natural calamity, has announced ex-gratia relief for the victims of the recent cloudburst in Kathua.
The relief package, to be provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in addition to the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) support, includes:
₹2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased.,₹1 lakh for those severely injured. ,₹50,000 for those with minor injuries.₹1 lakh for fully damaged houses.₹50,000 for severely damaged houses.₹25,000 for partially damaged houses.
He assured that the government stands firmly with the people of Kathua in this hour of grief.
