J&K Police arrests Haryana man with fake Yatra card at Baltal

GANDERBAL, JULY 01 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a person hailing from Haryana at Baltal for using a fake Yatra registration card to illegally pass through security checks.
According to the official reports, the accused has been identified as Shivam Mittal, son of Krishan Mittal, a resident of Dwarka Puri, Jagadhri, District Yamunanagar, Haryana.
Police said the man obtained a forged Yatra card through dishonest means and tried to fool the security personnel, skipping the required verification process.
An FIR (No. 13/2025) has been registered at Police Station Sonamarg under relevant sections of law, and a full investigation is underway.
J&K Police said they will take strict legal action against anyone involved in such illegal activities.
