SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 27 (STC): J&K Police is committed to assist those struggling with addiction through de-addiction centers and various support programs. The youth should seek help and make use of available resources to rebuild their lives.
This was stated by the SSP
Baramulla Gurinderpal Singh today while talking to media.
Addressing concerns about rising drug addiction and suicide rates, the SSP said that J&K Police had taken strong action against drug peddlers, leading to a decline in cases compared to the previous year.
The SSP said that while drug dealers are criminals who exploit society, addicts should be seen as victims in need of help and rehabilitation.
“We have drug de-addiction centers and various support systems in place. If anyone needs help, they can always approach us,” he said.
Meanwhile, he urged students to stay informed about available platforms and government initiatives to develop their skills in various sports.
He suggested youngsters to utilize online resources to identify and nurture their talents. (STC)
