J&K reports nine active Covid-19 cases

No cause for alarm, says officials

SRINAGAR, JUNE 02 (STC): Jammu and Kashmir has reported nine new COVID-19 cases since November 2024, said official report.
According to the report, there are currently nine active COVID-19 cases in J&K. Of these, five are from Kashmir and four from Jammu.
A health official said the situation remains under control and there is no immediate cause for concern. He urged residents to stay vigilant and follow safety precautions. “We are strictly adhering to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The UT is fully prepared to respond to any potential rise in infections,” he said.
Routine testing for severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) and influenza-like illnesses (ILI) continues across healthcare facilities in both divisions.
Health experts have advised the public to remain alert but not alarmed.
