KSS reaches out to shelling-affected families in Uri with extensive relief material

URI, MAY 21 (STC): Kashmir Sewa Sangh (KSS) held a humanitarian relief event in Uri, Baramulla, distributing essential aid to families impacted by the recent cross-border shelling.
A team of KSS volunteers led by its Chief, Firdous Baba, visited the affected border villages to deliver vital supplies and support to the residents in crisis.
According to a handout issued by the KSS, the initiative is aimed at providing immediate relief to those facing hardship and displacement in the wake of renewed tensions along the Line of Control.
During the drive, KSS volunteers handed out ration kits containing staples such as flour, rice, pulses, cooking oil and essential hygiene items. Each kit was carefully prepared to meet the basic needs of the households coping with the
aftermath of the shelling, reads the KSS statement.
In addition to material aid, the team personally met with affected families, listened to
their stories and reassured them that the community stands with them in these difficult times.
Meanwhile, KSS Chief, Firdous Baba, while speaking atvthe event emphasized the
importance of compassion and unity. “Our duty to the nation
extends beyond any border. “In these challenging
times, showing empathy and support to every affected family is our collective responsibility. It is our unity and kindness that will strengthen our nation and help us to overcome adversity,” KSS Chief Firdous Baba said.
He reiterated that helping fellow citizens is both an honor and a duty. “When we stand together in service, we honor our country and our values,” he said, reaffirming that KSS will continue organizing relief efforts to ensure no affected family is left without support.
The relief drive underscores Kashmir Sewa Sangh’s
commitment to serving those in need and highlights the
power of national unity and human solidarity.
