SRINAGAR, MAY 24 (STC): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday invoked the message of Islam and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). “The Prophet’s mercy is flowing through this land. His message of peace, compassion, and justice continues to inspire us today,” he said while speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of a new guest house at Dargah Hazratbal.
The function was organized by the J&K Waqf Board, chaired by Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi. The event was attended by DGP Nalin Prabhat, along with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri and other dignitaries.
The LG Sinha praised the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, saying“Nine terrorist sites were eliminated in just 22 minutes — with zero civilian harm. This is not just a military victory, but a moral one. It reflects the strength of our people and security forces.”
People of Jammu and Kashmir have risen against terrorism, showing that the days of fear and violence are ending, he said and emphasized that every corner of the valley—children, women, the elderly—have walked their own roads, raised their own voices, and stood in defiance of terror.
“The public anger is visible. The people of Jammu and Kashmir want justice. They want those who stabbed their peace to face consequences,” he added.
The guest house, being developed by the Waqf Board, is expected to improve amenities for pilgrims and visitors to Hazratbal and is seen as part of a larger push to promote spiritual tourism and infrastructure. (STC)
