SRINAGAR, APRIL 19 (STC): “Conflict entrepreneurs” responsible for fuelling unrest in Jammu and Kashmir will not be allowed to re-emerge in the region, said Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday while speaking at a public gathering in Srinagar.
LG Sinha accused these individuals of collaborating with hostile elements across the border and held them responsible for promoting terrorism and hatred for personal gain.
“They joined hands with our neighbour three decades ago and ran a business of bloodshed. Their hands are stained with the blood of innocents,” he said.
He blamed the “conflict entrepreneurs” for manipulating the people of Kashmir, turning them into cannon fodder for their own vested interests.
LG Sinha showed contentment in his statement when he said that that in recent years, considerable progress has been made in dismantling networks of terror and eliminating those who profit from conflict. For this he lauded the role of the security forces.
However, he expressed the apprehensions that “some of these elements are once again trying to raise their heads.”
“I want to assure the people that their nefarious designs will not succeed. They will be crushed,” he warned. (STC)
