Met department forecasts heavy rainfall in J&K in coming days

: The Meteorological Department forecasts more rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days.
Director Meteorological Department, Srinagar Dr. Mukhtar said, “Some places are witnessing heavy showers with intense spells, and there is a possibility of more rain in the coming days.”
He added that moderate to heavy rainfall is likely tomorrow, while between August 20 and 21, the weather may improve with only brief showers.
Dr. Mukhtar further informed that on the morning of August 22, heavy rainfall is expected in some areas, and another wet spell with moderate to heavy showers is likely between August 23 and 26.
“There is also a possibility of cloudbursts, flash floods, landslides, mudslides and shooting stones at vulnerable locations in the next 24 hours,” he cautioned.
