MeT predicts severe heat wave in next 3 days

SRINAGAR, JUNE 11 (STC)
: Severe heat wave at scattered places of J&K during next three days has been predicted by the meteorological department.
As per their advisory the weather was generally going to be “hot & dry” till June 13. And from June 14-17, possibility of “brief spells” of light rain and thundershower at isolated to scattered places accompanied with thunder and gusty winds has been predicted.
From June 18-20, the MeT official said that generally hot and dry weather was in store in Jammu and Kashmir.
The weather office has also issued an advisory for severe heat wave at scattered places of J&K during next 3 days.
“Take sufficient fluid/water & avoid outdoor activities during peak intensity (12 noon to 4 PM),” the advisory reads. Farmers have been advised to continue farm operations.
