MLA Pampore Assures Construction of FP Bund in Pampore from Chaaryaar Masjid to Lateralbal.

Pampore, Sep 07 (STC): Justice Hasnain Masoodi, MLA Pampore, today assured the people of Pampore that every possible step will be taken to construct a concrete flood protection bund from Chaaryaar Masjid to Lateralbal.

Addressing a gathering of residents, Justice Masoodi underlined that protecting the lives and property of the people from recurrent flood threats is among his foremost priorities. He acknowledged the longstanding concerns of the community, especially those living in flood-prone areas, and reaffirmed his commitment to work tirelessly with the concerned departments to turn this project into reality.

“Safeguarding our people from the constant fear of floods is not only an infrastructural necessity but also a moral responsibility. I will ensure that the voices of Pampore residents are heard at every level of governance, and that this vital flood protection bund becomes a reality at the earliest,” Justice Masoodi said.

The proposed bund, once constructed, is expected to provide long-term security to thousands of families, protect agricultural land, and safeguard critical infrastructure in the region. Residents present at the meeting expressed their gratitude for the MLA’s assurance and urged swift action to begin work on the project.

Justice Masoodi emphasized that coordination with concerned authorities will be expedited, and no stone will be left unturned to ensure that Pampore is shielded from the recurring devastation caused by floods. (STC)
