MoS Shobha Karandlaje to take up salary hike issue of ASHA and Anganwadi workers with J&K Govt

: ASHA and Anganwadi workers in Jammu and Kashmir deserve fair salaries, and the matter is being taken up with the Jammu and Kashmir government, said Minister of State for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Labour & Employment, Shobha Karandlaje, on Saturday in her address at the 3rd State Conference held in Anantnag.
She said there is a remarkable transformation in Kashmir and the progress made in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years is remarkable. “I have come to Kashmir many times, but today’s Kashmir is very different — development programmes, better roads, railway connectivity, and happiness among people have all increased as the fear of terrorism has reduced,” she said.

The Minister expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended by local trade unions and noted the growing connection between Kashmir and Karnataka, particularly in the fields of education and employment for the youth.
