MP Choudhary Ramzan meets Palestinian FM, articulates India’s consistent position advocating for peaceful resolution of conflicts

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 29 (STC) : Member of Parliament Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan held discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine, Her Excellency Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin. During the discussions he articulated India’s consistent position advocating for peaceful resolution of conflicts.
Reports quoting sources said that during the meeting, the Palestinian Foreign Minister provided a detailed briefing on the current political, ground, and humanitarian realities in Palestine.
In his remarks, the parliamentarian expressed deep concern over the situation. MP Ramzan condemned the violence and the suffering inflicted upon innocent civilians, stating that the visuals and reports from the region were “disturbing and heart-wrenching.
He reaffirmed solidarity with the Palestinian people and stressed a firm diplomatic stance. “There is no military solution to the conflict,” Ramzan emphasised.
Outlining the path forward, the MP asserted that a “just, durable, and comprehensive peace” is achievable only through “dialogue, diplomacy, and meaningful negotiations.” He added that historical lessons demonstrate that violence exacerbates divisions, whereas dialogue is the essential route to reconciliation and lasting peace.
The interaction underscores ongoing high-level engagements between Indian political representatives and Palestinian leadership.
