NC MPs call on ambassador of Iran to India, offer condolences on demise of Ayatollah Khamenei

NEW DELHI, MARCH 09 (STC): A delegation comprising of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Members of Parliament (MPs) Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, and Gurwinder Singh Oberoi called on the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India, Dr. Mohammad Fathali. They offered their condolences on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Spiritual and Supreme Leader of Iran.
The parliamentarians signed the condolence book kept at the embassy and conveyed their profound sorrow over the tragic assassination of the revered leader.
The delegation extended condolences on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, JKNC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah to the government and the people of Iran.
The MPs termed the unilateral assault by the United States and Israel on a sovereign nation as a “barbaric” act. They asserted that such actions constitute a clear violation of international law and pose a grave threat to regional peace and stability.
The JKNC MPs prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed hope for lasting peace and stability in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
