NEET UG 2025: Aadhaar integration not mandatory for the exam: NTA

The use of APAAR ID is recommended for students for future exam processes.
JANUARY 25 (STC): National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that Aadhaar integration is not mandatory for the NEET UG 2025 exam. The agency also said that the use of APAAR ID is recommended for students for future exam processes.
In its detailed guidelines regarding NEET UG 2025, the National Testing Agency, which stated that neither the Aadhaar not APAAR ID is not mandatory for the NEET UG 2025 exam.
NTA had previously issued a public notice on January 14, 2025, where the candidates were urged to update their Aadhaar card and link their AAPAR ID, which, as per the NTA, was known as the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC ID).
The agency has confirmed that the APAAR ID, which holds students’ credits now, is not a compulsory requirement for NEET UG 2025 registration. There are still alternative methods available to register for the examination. In the next update, detailed instructions will be provided for candidates.
