NIA raids multiple locations in J&K

SRINAGAR, JUNE 05 (STC): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today carried out searches at multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with an ongoing investigation registered under case number RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU, reports cross section of media today.
The case, as per reports, pertains to an alleged terror conspiracy involving suspected overground workers (OGWs) linked to various terrorist groups.
Official sources told media that the searches are part of continued efforts to investigate the suspected support provided to terrorist networks. The individuals under scrutiny are believed to have assisted with logistics, information, and other forms of support.
According to the reports, in Budgam district, NIA teams conducted a search at the residence of Saboor Sultan, son of Mohammad Sultan Sofi, in Soibugh. Another search took place at the home of Shabir Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, in Ichkote. Similar search operations were also carried out in parts of Kulgam district.
During the searches, officials examined digital devices, documents, and other materials to gather information related to the suspected activities. The agency aims to trace any connections, funding routes, or logistical networks that may be linked to unlawful activities, a report quoting an offical said.
Meanwhile, no arrests have been reported so far. (STC)
