SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 18 (STC)
: Academic examinations across Jammu and Kashmir will be conducted as per the notified academic calendar, despite recent disruptions caused by natural calamities, said Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo.
She said that the government is actively consulting stakeholders to explore ways of compensating the academic loss suffered by students this year. “Studies were hampered initially due to a war-like situation, then the prolonged heatwave, and later the flood-like conditions that even damaged some schools. Yet, as far as examinations are concerned, I want to make it clear they will be held on time,” the Minister said.

Highlighting the challenges faced in streamlining the academic session, Itoo recalled last year’s shift from the March session to November–December. “That was a major exercise, but now we have brought significant stability to the system,” she added.
