One missing soldier in Kokernag found dead with weapon and rucksack

ANANTNAG, OCTOBER 09 (STC): Body of one of the missing soldiers was recovered today in the Gadool area of Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district while searches for another were underway, reports appearing in cross section of media reveal.
Official sources have disclosed that body of one soldier has been retrived, with weapon and rucksack. Massive searche for another missing soldier is underway, they added.
As already reported by media, the army personnel lost contact while on duty, prompting immediate search and rescue operations in the area.
Earlier, Official sources had maintained that adverse weather and difficult terrain may have contributed to the soldiers going missing. Meanwhile, reports said that teams from the Army and local authorities are coordinating to cover the area and ensure the recovery of the remaining personnel.
