Operation Mir Jafar: Massive crackdown against alleged spies in the country

: Shortly after “Operation Sindoor” strikes targeted terror infra in Pakistan, India’s top intelligence agencies have launched massive crackdown against alleged spies in the country, reveals a moneycontrol report quoting sources.
The report adds that the mission was named Mir Jafar. First, the officials collected information on individuals who had established contacts and were regularly in touch with people across the border. Once credible intel was sourced, agencies began nationwide crackdown. This led to arrest of many individuals across Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Report quoting sources say that after the dastardly Pahalgam terror attack that saw brutal killings of 26 tourists in Baisaran Valley, individuals providing information to their alleged handlers were put under surveillance. The report further says that from photos to other crucial information, these individuals were found of supplying critical details to Pakistani agencies.
In fact, the report quoting sources say that the Pakistan High Commission located in Delhi played a key role and added that many individuals held during the crackdown were found to be in regular contact with the High Commission officials.
According to the initial investigation as per the moneycontrol report Pakistan has been luring individuals to pass on sensitive information by giving them all expenses paid trip to foreign locations, handing out cash and other inducements.
