Pahalgam Attach Aftermath: J&K ministers going across India to ensure safety of Kashmiri students and traders

: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in a proactive step has deputed his Cabinet Ministers to various cities across India. The step has been taken to ensure the safety of students and traders from Jammu and Kashmir currently residing in different parts of the country,
Omar Abdullah said the move is aimed at instilling a sense of security among the people of Jammu and Kashmir who are away from home, especially students and businesspersons.
 “With a view to instilling a sense of security among our students and businessmen currently in other states, I have deputed my Cabinet Ministers to various cities across the country. The purpose of these visits is to coordinate efforts with the respective State Governments and ensure the safety and well-being of J&K residents,” he said.
He further stated that the government is closely monitoring the situation and is in constant touch with authorities in different states. “The J&K Government will stand with its people—anywhere, everywhere,” the Chief Minister asserted.
Reports said that the ministers will meet with local administrations, student representatives, and trader bodies to assess the situation on the ground and offer necessary support.
Civil society and other stakeholders have widely appreciated the government’s move. (KNS)
