Pahalgam Attack: Amit Shah arriving in Srinagar to chair security meet

SRINAGAR, APRIL 22 (STC)
: Home Minister Amit Shah is shortly arriving in Srinagar ro hold an emergency meeting with security agencies following a terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam today afternoon.
In a post on X, Amit Shah, said:
“My thoughts are with the family members of the deceased. Those involved in this dastardly act of terror will not be spared, and we will come down heavily on the perpetrators with the harshest consequences.”
The post further added: “Briefed PM Modi about the incident and held a meeting with the concerned officials via video conferencing. Will shortly leave for Srinagar to hold an urgent security review meeting with all the agencies.”
Earlier, according to the reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to Saudi Arabia, spoke with Home Minister Amit Shah over phone on the Pahalgam terror attack. PM asked Amit Shah to take all suitable measures, and also visit the attack site.
