SRINAGAR, APRIL 13 (STC)
: The dispensation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to terrorism decisively by launching “Operation Sindoor” after the Pahalgam terror attack and hit Pakistan where it hurt the most, said Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday. He blamed erstwhile Manmohan Singh led regime backed by Mamata Banerjee’s party for failing to act firmly against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
Speaking at a rally in Paschim Bardhaman, HM Shah, said, “Previous governments showed leniency in dealing with Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. The Manmohan Singh government, supported by Mamata Banerjee’s party, never took firm action against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and instead treated them with biryani.”
The Home Minister also accused the Trinamool Congress of sheltering illegal infiltrators, saying they had been protected for long and that the BJP, after coming to power, would identify and deport them, adding that freeing the country of illegal infiltrators is the party’s mission.
