Precautionary Measure: Restrictions to remain in force across Kashmir on Wednesday

SRINAGAR, MARCH 03 (STC): Restrictions will continue to remain in force across all districts of Kashmir on Wednesday as a precautionary measure, said authorities. The move has been taken following protests reported in parts of the Valley over the death of Iran’s leader Ali Khamenei, they said.
The decision to continue restrictions has been taken to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents in view of the prevailing situation, reports quoting senior officials said.
“It has been decided to continue restrictions on Wednesday as a precautionary measure to ensure a peaceful atmosphere,” a senior official said adding that the situation largely remained peaceful.
The situation is being closely monitored and further decisions will be taken accordingly, said officials.
