STC NEWS MONITORING DRSK
FEBRUARY 11 (STC): Saudi Arabia has reportedly rolled out significant changes to the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage. In one such change, children have been prohibited from accompanying pilgrims for performing Hajj.
According to the reports, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah citing reasons for banning children during Hajj 2025, said “in light of the tremendous congestion that takes place during the yearly trip, this decision was made to protect children.”
Precisely, the changed regulation explains that children are prohibited in order to safeguard them from the dangers of crowding and to make the pilgrimage experience more seamless. The ministry underlined that small children may be seriously at risk during the Hajj due to the necessity of managing sizable crowds in hazardous situations.
Besides, reports disclose that first-time pilgrims will be granted preference for the Hajj in 2025. (STC)
